This residence is conceived as an elongated composition of interwoven blocks, clearly articulating the primary zones — the social lounge, the tranquil bedroom suite, and a dedicated leisure wing. These volumes are effortlessly linked by broad corridors lined with full-height glazing, inviting daylong forest light and framing ever-changing views into the pines. The deliberate interplay of low-pitched roofs and sharp overhangs creates a rhythmic silhouette, avoiding monotony and lending each façade a distinctive character. Expansive, sheltering verandas run along the garden side, elegantly dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior life.
Materials are selected for harmony with the woodland setting and enduring resilience:
Stone masonry piers. Rough-hewn, mineral-rich textures in a natural gray palette, anchoring the house to the forest floor. — Warm timber siding. Horizontal larch cladding softens the massing, wrapping corners and soffits, enriching the tactile experience. — Standing-seam metal roofing.
